Teachers of English as a Second Language of Ontario

Writing Contributions

As a way to connect our members, learners and communities alike, we are asking you to submit written work related to both learning and teaching ESL in Ontario. We will then be posting, and therefore sharing, your writing here on our website as a way to inspire all of us involved in the ESL profession. As an added bonus, this is a great chance for both teachers and students alike to have their writing "published" on-line.

Here are some possible writing prompts you may wish to use as a meaningful classroom activity:

My ESL class is…
The best class ever was…
My favourite ESL teacher is…
The funniest thing happened in class one day…
My classmates…
Learning English is…

Please feel free to be as creative as you want with your writing!  Why not even use this opportunity as a way to teach poetry or write a song?

Here's how you can share your submissions with TESL Ontario:

Please note your submission will be posted on the TESL Ontario website.

Be sure to visit this link on a regular basis to read the submissions that we have received!
