Why is renewing my TESL Ontario Certification important?

Requirements

  • Maintaining Membership in Good Standing
  • Provide evidence of five hours per year of documented, adult ESL-related professional development. This would include PD activities such as attending conferences, attending/giving workshops (including in-house workshops), developing curriculum or pedagogical materials, practicum mentoring, assessment training, service to TESL Ontario, taking courses, publications.

Documentation of PD activities could include, for example: Conference or workshop certificates, letters of attendance, certificates or transcripts, copies of in-house or commercial pedagogical materials.
