Instructors bring enthusiasm and varied teaching and assessment approaches to the EAP classroom. Addressing student learning needs and providing sound learning opportunities to a diverse group of students are key skills.
Hours per week - 24
Pay rate - $28-$38
Effectively deliver the curriculum to ICEAP students
Provide quality lesson plans and course outlines
Test and assess students using ICEAP approved assessment tools
Submit student progress reports, attendance and other forms of assessment in a timely and professional manner.
Attend general staff meetings.
Master’s degree is an asset
TESL Canada or TESL Ontario certification
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in a variety of adult EAP contexts
Demonstrated knowledge in curriculum design, selection of relevant teaching materials
Demonstrated experience incorporating technology into the classroom
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, intercultural, and collaborative skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet administrative deadlines
Strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
