Circle of Friends for Newcomers (Hamilton) is recruiting a LINC Instructor to join our team from October 2022 to March 31, 2023 (with the possibility of contract renewal)

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the LINC coordinator, the successful candidate will have the ability to teach all 4 language skills at a range of levels (Literacy to CLB 5).
Hours of work are Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

ESL Instructor

Qualified, experienced ESL Instructor required to teach on location at client place of business. Initial engagement is one afternoon per week 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm with potential for further commitment at a later date. The engagement is expected to be long-term and as such, only candidates available for the next 12 months (minimum) can be considered. Lessons are conducted in small groups of 2-4 students and are 55 minutes in length. Students are professionals. Client is located in the Newmarket, Innisfil, Barrie area. Compensation offered is above industry standard.

Instructor - Distance Education Ontario

LINC Home Study provides a self-paced distance language training program for immigrants to Canada who are unable to attend classes in person. Eligible immigrants enrol in the program to obtain/improve the English language skills required to function in Canadian society. Instructors deliver weekly instructional sessions by phone or VOIP, as well as monitor and facilitate students’ independent study. Instructors work remotely from home.
