The London District Catholic School Board’s Adult Education Program, the Centre for Lifelong
Learning invites TESL qualified applicants to apply for a position in the adult non-credit ESL program funded by the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.
We are currently looking for Instructors for our evening classes are from 5:45 pm to 9:00 pm.
These positions could include any levels from CLB benchmarks 1 to 7 and could be multi-level.
Use module planning to prepare course outlines and daily lesson plans according to student needs.
Monitoring and discussing students’ progress with them individually and as a group
Implementation of Canadian Language Benchmarks related activities/competencies.
Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of course participants using PBLA.
Complete required reports, assessment and recordkeeping to be able to provide report cards
Student attendance.
Adhere to program policies and procedures.
Participate in the development and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials which include attending program meetings
Communicating with the ESL program manager and lead teacher
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
Strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
TESL Ontario certification (OCELT)
Excellent command of oral and written English
PBLA training and experience preferred
CLB Bootcamp certificate preferred
Experience teaching adults
Experience using technology to instruct language skills
