Full-time Secondary Probationary positions
After conducting a review of the Peel District School Board (PDSB), the Ministry of Education recently issued their report outlining observations and making recommendations with respect to systematic discrimination. This review as well as a number of other reports speak to the Board’s commitment to equitable hiring that leads to not only representation of the students and families we serve, but also even greater representation of African, Black, Afro-Caribbean and indigenous educators.
In support of equitable hiring practices that center students and their intersectional identities, a centralized hiring process has now been developed.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The PDSB is creating a Central Pool of teachers which will then be used to fill various Secondary Probationary positions throughout the Board. Successful candidates will be placed into this pool and, as positions become available, they will be contacted as to what school and position they have been placed.
