Humber College, CPL seeking individual to deliver OSLT program.  The Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning - Continuous and Professional Learning offers an Occupation Specific Language Training (OSLT) program to newcomers. OSLT is an intensive language training program designed specifically to help newcomers who have educational training and/or work experience from outside Canada in a particular field. The program provides technical work-related language skills and awareness of Canadian workplace culture needed to enter and be successful in specific fields in Canada.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

We are seeking an individual experienced in delivering English language training for the following OSLT sessions: Entrepreneurship, Sales and Marketing; Technology; and Project Management. OSLT sessions at Humber College run three times a year. Each session is 180 hours in duration. The next cohorts run online in the Winter 2022 semester, starting on January 10.

  • 3+ years of experience in delivering English language training to newcomer adult learners
  • Experience in delivering OSLT sessions at other Ontario colleges strongly desired
  • MA in Education or equivalent
  • TESL Ontario Certification considered an asset
  • Experience in the field of “entrepreneurship, sales and marketing”, and “technology” and preferably “project management” an asset
